About the Event

On June 10, 2023, from 10 am to 2 pm, Vital Records Control (“VRC”) Florence is hosting a shred and electronic recycling event at 3215 Roberson Road in Florence, AL. The VitalShred-A-Thon aims to help Florence and Huntsville SMBs, banks, government agencies, and other local companies safely dispose of sensitive documents and old IT assets while providing identity theft protection. VRC has partnered with several local banks to make this event possible.

Attendees are encouraged to drive up and bring the following items for secure shredding and recycling:

Electronics and media (no monitors or batteries)

  1. Hard drives
  2. Laptops, Tablets, & Phones
  3. Disks, CDs, & DVDs
  4. X-rays & Microfilm
  5. Network servers
  6. Printers & copiers
  7. Access & credit cards

Sensitive paper documents

  1. Financial statements
  2. Canceled & blank checks
  3. Paystubs
  4. Employee records
  5. Personal files
  6. Tax records
  7. Medical records

*Minimum of 10 boxes or bags per vehicle.
