Purge shredding is a one-time, scheduled destruction of bulk documents, a single cleanout rather than an ongoing service. It’s the right fit after an office move, an acquisition, a filing room cleanout, or an annual retention review, when you have a backlog to clear but no need for recurring pickups.

You’ll also see it called one-time shredding, bulk shredding, or a purge service. They all describe the same thing.

A purge is a single service call sized to what you have right now. Scheduled service places locked containers in your workspace and collects them on a recurring cadence — weekly through monthly — to handle paper as it accumulates.

If you’re clearing a backlog, start with a purge. If your team generates enough sensitive paper that the backlog will rebuild, paper shredding service is the more economical long-term answer. Many clients do both: one purge to reset, then a recurring program.

Purge pricing is based on volume along with your location and whether you choose on-site or offsite destruction. There are no hidden fees and no long-term contract.
